Eligibility
Membership of the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology is available to appropriately qualified professionals working in research or healthcare related to the field of respirology.
Membership is not restricted to the Asia-Pacific region. An increasing number of your peers from every part of the world are joining the APSR.
If you are interested in enhancing your career, contributing to respiratory health improvement in the Asia-Pacific region and worldwide, and liaising with your peers with the same objectives, then you are encouraged to join us.

Individual Membership
Membership of the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology is available to appropriately qualified professionals presently working in research or health care related to the field of respirology.

Membership Categories
We offer a range of Membership options to suit you.
Ordinary membership
For fully qualified medical professionals, from recent graduates to senior scientists, who want to widen their knowledge and careers.
Associate membership
For trainees or fellows in training for postgraduate degrees in medicine, nursing and related science.
Qualifications for Associate membership
Associate membership has reduced membership dues and is ideal for:
- A trainee or fellow in training, for a postgraduate degree in medicine, nursing or related science.
- For a trainee or fellow who is a medical doctor:
Associate membership is available to doctors if they have no taxable income. On completion of their training, their Associate membership changes to Ordinary membership (with no adjustment to their membership dues for that membership year. - For a trainee or fellow who is a not a medical doctor (i.e. is a nurse, allied health worker, etc), Associate membership is available irrespective of taxable income.
- For a trainee or fellow who is a medical doctor:
- A nurse, allied health worker, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, dietitian, speech therapist, pharmacist, scientific or medical technician, or clinical research professional (academia), who is interested in respiratory and related fields.
- A retired medical professional.
- A retired medical doctor who has reached the age of 70.
- A retired nurse or allied health worker of any age.
Since the membership dues are reduced for Associate membership, proof of status will be requested.
Undergraduate student membership
For full-time students of medical, nursing and related science degrees.
Qualifications for Undergraduate student membership
Undergraduate student membership has reduced membership dues and is ideal for students of medical, nursing, science undergraduate degrees, who are enrolled for full-time study in recognized institutions.
Since the membership dues are reduced for Undergraduate student membership, proof of status will be requested.
Changing your membership category
You can request a change of your category when you renew your membership for the next membership year.
with no adjustment to their membership dues for that membership year.
