This talk was presented at the 2024 APSR Congress in Hong Kong as part of the session entitled “An Editor’s Guide to Research Publishing for Clinicians: From Beginner to Expert”, and aims to answer common questions about open access publishing and its benefits to authors with special consideration for authors from the Asia-Pacific region.
