APSR Teaching Library Case Submission Award

Collation date: 1 June 2026

The APSR Teaching Library is a virtual collection of clinical cases in Respiratory / Critical Care Medicine for the education of our colleagues. Most of them have a clinical scenario followed by a picture/video of an X-ray/CT-scan or bronchoscopic images or video, followed by one best answer type question and a short discussion. Currently, we have over 180 cases since its launch in 2015. Submitted cases have to be approved by both relevant Assembly leadership and the Library Subcommittee (Education Committee) before going into the Library. The cases must not have already been published or presented elsewhere prior to the submission.

In addition, the APSR Teaching Library aims to showcase clinical insights that are particularly relevant to the Asia-Pacific region, including conditions such as tuberculosis (TB), nontuberculous mycobacterial disease (NTM), and region-specific practice patterns. By highlighting these region-focused cases alongside general respiratory and critical care topics, the Teaching Library provides context-specific educational content that reflects real-world clinical practice across the Asia-Pacific region and distinguishes APSR’s educational resources from those of other societies.

As in previous years, the APSR is offering you a chance to enjoy discounted registration fee to attend the APSR  2026 Penang Congress by submitting your cases to the Library. Once your submission is approved for the APSR Teaching Library, you will be considered for a 100% waiver of the registration fee. The top 10 members who have submitted and were approved the most number of cases by 1 June 2026 are entitled to a 100% waiver of the APSR Congress registration fee.

There is no maximum number of cases that can be submitted by any member and approved. The more cases submitted, the higher the chances of receiving the award. Priority will be given to APSR members who are not members of the Executive Committee, or Assembly leadership (Head, Head-Elect and Deputy Head).

Please submit your cases at APSR Teaching Library
