What do we do?

Mission

The Assembly advances environmental and occupational health by fostering high-quality research, facilitating expert knowledge exchange, and supporting training for early-career professionals—especially in respiratory and lung diseases across the Asia-Pacific region.

Interests

  • Pathogenesis and mechanisms of environmental and occupational lung diseases (including exposure–response pathways)
  • Clinical, translational, and epidemiologic research on work- and environment-related respiratory diseases
  • Recent advances and methodologies in respiratory epidemiology (e.g., exposure assessment, causal inference, omics, real-world data)
  • Prevention, workplace/environmental interventions, and policy implications
  • Capacity building: mentoring, skills workshops, and collaborative opportunities for young investigators

Who should join

All APSR members interested in environmental and occupational health are welcome – clinicians, researchers, public health professionals, and trainees.
Members who wish to build networks, join multicenter collaborations, or share data and methods are encouraged to participate.
Senior experts willing to mentor and train the next generation are especially invited.
